The unlikely manicure trend of the season so far? Burnt orange nails, which are currently trending on TikTok, racking up 116.7 million views and counting. While traditional autumnal hues tend to be warm reds, oxblood, Malbec and berry tones, or black when you’re feeling vampy, burnt orange still feels incredibly fitting for the autumnal months, when the leaves take on a similar hue. They are also a flattering fresh option if you’re feeling a bit “been there, done that” about the more conventional colour choices.

Daisy Kalnina, founder of The Gel Bottle Inc, is all about copper tones and “gorgeous burnished oranges that replicate autumn sunset shades” this season, and name checks her new gel polish in shade Ignite as a particular favourite.
