Macrophotography of Slime Fungi by Alison Pollack and Barry Webb

Alison Pollack and Barry Webb are two different photographers. While they do not work together, they share a fascination with fungi and macro photography. We understand that fungi and slime molds do not sound too appealing, but once you look at photos of them, you can understand why the two photographers consider them so mesmerizing. So strange to think that such a marvelous thing grows and feeds off another organism, isn’t it? What makes their works even more unique is that, without the camera’s magnifying lens, these fungi are extremely hard to detect. It’s an eye-straining hunt after the next slimy model.
